    Today is World Cancer Day

    February 4 is World Cancer Day, a global initiative in the fight against cancer. Celebrated annually, World Cancer Day aims to save lives from preventable deaths and raise "awareness and education about the disease, pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action." This year’s theme is "We can. I can." Its goal is to draw attention to the ways that we can address cancer individually, communally, and internationally.

Celebrated every February 4, World Cancer Day is a global initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) that seeks to improve collective knowledge around cancer while challenging misconceptions around the disease.
