Posted by Katie Hennessy on Aug 6, 2012 12:39:23 PM

One of the most popular features of our bestselling Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills is “Voices of Experience (VOE),” a first-person account of a career-defining experience intended to inspire Fire Fighter I and II candidates. The upcoming third edition, published in partnership with the National Fire Protection Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs, includes the 2013 Revision of NFPA 1001, making it the most advanced teaching and learning system ever developed for the Fire Fighter I and II training levels. We need your help to make it even better. Jones & Bartlett Learning is looking for "Voices of Experience" essays for consideration in Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills, Third Edition. Submit your VOE by September 1, 2012 for a chance to be published in the new edition. Our editorial team will review and select the best VOEs. In addition, one VOE author will be randomly selected to win a $250 American Express Gift Card. For more information on the essay contest, visit our website.
