February 5th webinar offers a unique look at disparities in urban health and urban education
In this webinar, Dr. Patti Rose, author of Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Context, Controversies, and Solutions, along with contributing author, Dr. Courtney Rose, will discuss the parallels in the disparities that exist between urban health and urban education systems.
Specifically, they will discuss the impact of inequitable policies and practices on access and engagement, including health literacy, and review current and potential solutions to both problems with an emphasis on equity for all.

Dr. Patti Rose acquired her Master's Degree (MPH) in Health Services Administration from the Yale University School of Public Health followed by her Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Health Education from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is the President and Founder of Rose Consulting through which she offers speaking engagements, workshops and consultation in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Courtney Rose, M.Ed., Ed.D. - Consultant, Rose Consulting, Miami, Florida
Dr. Courtney Rose acquired her Master's Degree (M.Ed.) in Human Development & Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education followed by her Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Curriculum & Teaching from Columbia University Teachers College. In addition to the consulting work she does for Rose Consulting, she teaches at Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University.
