Dr. Patti Rose, author of Health Disparities, Diversity, and Inclusion will give the keynote address at the upcoming Inaugural National Association for Black Veterinarians (NABV) Conference on June 7 - 8, 2019 at NOPSI Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With the theme of this years' event The State of Blacks in Veterinary Medicine , the NABV hopes to not only raise awareness of the disproportionate amount of African-Americans in the field of veterinary medicine, but to develop and action plan to increase diversity in the profession. In addition, they are offering sessions to support in-practice veterinarians with clinical businesses, such as the importance of business planning, implementation, assessing growth, and management. The conference will include several notable speakers, research presentations, and speakers on diversity and inclusion.
