    Pilot Studies Show Navigate eFolio: Nursing Informatics and the Foundation of Knowledge Has a Positive Impact on Student Learning and Engagement

    In Fall 2013, we pilot tested Navigate eFolio: Nursing Informatics and the Foundation of Knowledge with two instructors and their students at Darton State College and The University of Texas at Tyler. Both instructors and 65 students provided us with their feedback and experiences using the product. In addition, the instructors allowed us to link information about their students’ performance to access frequency so we could evaluate the relationship.

    Pilot Study Shows Navigate eFolio Increases Student Learning and Engagement

    Recent research from the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) showed that student preferences for eBooks has increased 12% over the past two years, while a 2012 Scholastic study found that eBook reading rates for children ages 9-17 jumped from 25% to 46% during this time. Given these trends, current and future college students are embracing digital learning solutions at unprecedented rates.
