    Over the next three decades, the U.S. population of people over 65 is expected to grow by more than half. By 2050, worldwide life expectancy is also projected to grow by nearly eight years. With more people living longer, health care has never been more important. That's why we recently published a new edition of Kristen Mauk's trusted Gerontological Nursing: Competencies for Care, a text that focuses on caring for older adults through a holistic and interdisciplinary approach.
