    Jones & Bartlett Learning Launches New Website for Nursing Online Learning Solutions

With the historic passing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) adding more than 32 million previously uninsured patients to the health care system, highly qualified nurses have never been in greater demand.

    As more hospitals compete for the coveted Magnet Designation credential that recognizes quality patient care, nursing distinction, and innovations in professional nursing practice, nursing education has become a central pathway to attracting and retaining top talent, improving patient outcomes, and fostering a collaborative and successful culture. By 2020, the American Nurses Credentialing Center will require that 80% of nurses have a Baccalaureate in the Science of Nursing (BSN) in order for an institution to receive Magnet Designation. Similar demands driven by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) have also created the need for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Degree and the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) role in order to prioritize the importance of both practical expertise and administrative excellence.
