The Academay of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) held its 49th annual meeting in Times Square, New York City in March. More than 2,000 criminal justice, criminology, and sociology educators, professionals, and students attended to share ideas, network with colleagues, and explore the latest learning solutions to enhance their teaching and student outcomes.
The Jones & Bartlett Learning criminal justice team was excited to showcase a number of new books and updated editions, as well as our new web-based learning platform, Navigate Course Manager. Navigate Course Manager is an easy-to-use and fully hosted online learning platform that seamlessly combines authoritative textbook content with interactive activities, assessments, and robust reporting tools that enable instructors to track real-time student progress and engagement. Visitors to the Jones & Bartlett booth were led through the features and functionalities, including PowerPoint presentations organized by lecture topic, practice activities, assessments, and a comprehensive set of course management tools, including a grade book, calendar, and system email.
To show our appreciation for our dedicated authors who have helped grow our ever-expanding suite of criminal justice, criminology, and sociology texts and resources, the criminal justice team was pleased to host an Author Reception within the Times Square Marriott Marquis Hotel. About 35 authors joined our team of editorial, sales, and marketing, for drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and conversation. We would like to thank the authors who visited our booth and those who attended our reception. We look forward to seeing everyone at the 50th annual ACJS meeting in Dallas next year, but first we hope to see many of you in November in Chicago for ASC!
