    Dr. Michael Merson is the lead editor of Global Health: Diseases, Programs, Systems, and Policies (formerly titled International Public Health), which will be available in a new Third Edition this August.

    Michael Merson is the director of Duke University's Global Health Institute. He is the former Dean of Public Health at the Yale School of Medicine, and the former Director of Yale University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS and one of the founding directors of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health.


    RICHARD SKOLNIK, MPA is the author of the new Second Edition of Global Health 101 (formerly titled Essentials of Global Health). Mr. Skolnik is the winner of numerous honors for teaching, has taught global health for 8 years, and has more than 30 years of experience as a global health practitioner in multilateral, university, and NGO settings. He has been actively involved in dealing with critical issues in global health at country level and at the highest levels of international health policy making.

    SHARON BUCHBINDER, RN, PhD is the lead author of the bestselling book, Introduction to Health Care Management, which will be available in a new Second Edition this August.
    She is a former Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Science at Towson University and is past Chair of the Board of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.

    WOLF KIRSTEN and BOB KARCH, EdD, are co-authors of the newly published title, Global Perspectives in Workplace Health Promotion. Mr. Kirsten is Founder and President of International Health Consulting based in Berlin, Germany. Dr. Karch is a Professor in the School of Education, Teaching, and Health at American University in Washington, D.C., where, in 1980, he founded an innovative interdisciplinary Master of Science program in Health Promotion Management.

    LISA SULLIVAN, PhD, is the author of Essentials of Biostatistics in Public Health, which just published in a new Second Edition. Dr. Sullivan is Professor and Chair of the Department of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health where she was instrumental in developing a minor program in public health that is open to undergraduate students in the BU College of Arts and Sciences. Lisa is the Principal Investigator of the Summer Institute for Training in Biostatistics which is designed to promote interest in the field of biostatistics and its many exciting career opportunities.


    GEORGE POZGAR is the author of the best-selling, Legal Aspects of Health Care Administration, which just published in its Eleventh Edition. Mr. Pozgar has surveyed more than 1,000 hospitals and ambulatory sites for the Joint Commission and has over 30 years experience in various hospital executive roles. Praised by many as a straightforward, jargon-free approach to health care law, his book has sold more than 100,000 copies since it first published in 1979.
