The Texty Award, created in 1992, recognizes current textbooks and learning materials in their second or later editions. Judges are published textbook authors.
The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture, Third Edition, was one of eight textbooks to receive a 2013 Texty Award. Visit their website for a full list of winners.
The awards will be presented during an awards luncheon at the Text and Academic Authors Association’s 26th Annual Conference in Reno, NV, on June 21-22, 2013. The awards luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 22.
The Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA) is the only nonprofit membership association dedicated solely to assisting textbook and academic authors. TAA’s overall mission is to enhance the quality of textbooks and other academic materials, such as journal articles, monographs, and scholarly books, in all field and disciplines, by providing its textbook and academic author members with educational and networking opportunities.
