FEMA’s Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants has announced its official FY 2011 SAFER Grant application period: January 30-February 24, 2012! The goal of the program is to “assist local fire departments with staffing and deployment capabilities in order to respond to emergencies, assuring communities have adequate protection from fire and fire-related hazards.”
